What to look for in a Mediator
'...mediation introduces a fresh outsider's open-minded attitude of inquiry, creativity and new energy... When the mediator is good, it provides a stabilising wisdom - not a wisdom that provides the answer to the dispute, but a wisdom about how the parties can work together to reach their own answer'.

When looking for a mediator, the most important things to consider are:
1. Make sure your mediator is an accredited mediator
2. Your mediator will be hearing all about your dispute and guiding you to finding a solution, so make sure your mediator is someone you feel comfortable discussing your issues with
3. Your mediator should at all times be impartial. Look for a mediator who comes across as friendly and professional
